Alison Budgen

Alison works as an Associate with Global Partnerships, balancing her executive search work with an independent consulting business as a Psychologist. Alison has worked in the field of organisational psychology and psychological assessment for over 15 years. She has significant international experience, having worked as a management consultant based in both Australia and the United Kingdom, and has also worked with clients across Europe and the United States. She has experience consulting to clients from a wide range of sectors, including financial services, banking and finance, government, education, pharmaceuticals and media and telecommunications.

Alison has extensive experience conducting psychological assessments for a variety of purposes, including assessment for selection, development and succession planning. As a leadership specialist, Alison has a deep understanding of the requirements of executive level roles. She has designed and delivered senior and executive level leadership development programs for a wide range of clients and has worked as an executive coach for clients in Australia and the United Kingdom.

A combination of technical expertise and well-developed communication and process facilitation skills has enabled Alison to develop strong relationships with her clients. She is an experienced public speaker, having delivered presentations at a number of international conferences.

Previously, Alison worked as a senior consultant with an international Human Resources consulting firm in both their Australian and British offices. She has also worked in the field of trauma counselling and organisational training for consultancies in Melbourne. She has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology and is a registered Psychologist and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society. She also recently completed a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Outside work, Alison enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons and is involved in a variety of musical activities. She has played flute to a professional standard and enjoys playing in musical groups and singing in a community choir.
